Dr. Abdeljabbar Arrach, is the first appointed president at FAOU,  since  End of 2016, he  started to  lead  this institution  to  achieve the  planned goals. He  received all his  degrees  in  cultural,  legal,  administrative  and political  studies from German  universities. Currently, Dr. Arrach, besides this position,  he serves as the vice dean of the Faculty of  Law at University of  Hassan 1st in Morocco, also as director of LRTDC (Laboratory for  Research   on  Comparative   Democratic   Transition), Director of House of Humanities and  Social  Sciences, and Head of Human Rights Law Clinic in FSJES Settat.

Philosophy 

Fatima Al-Fihri Open University  is a  non-profit  university,  aims  to strengthen access to higher education around the world especially to developing countries. Here at FAOU, we believe that universities need to offer education to all  youth  without  any  barriers  or  conditions, therefore  we are  working with  our partners in this case by offering low cost and free courses for everyone in the world!

Goals

We intend to bring to the students, world-class courses, in the form of short courses (4-12 weeks), Bachelor degrees  (3 or 4 years) and Specialized  Masters  (1 or 2 years).  All the  programs will be open online and can be studied at each student self-pace. 

Agenda

FAOU in the first year (2019) will be focusing on short courses while planning for Bachelor Degrees and Master Degrees to be open in late of the coming year 2020.  The short  courses are already and there's  no  condition  to  apply  or to  start any  course of  them.  The plan of upcoming bachelor and  Master Degrees will be available soon before the start of the year 2020.
